Come hear Maori artists speak on guardianship and protection over the future of design in Aotearoa.
About this Event


Artist’s Janine Williams and Graeme Tipene will give a public talk where they will share the narratives behind their large-scale public artworks in the Wynyard Quarter.

Janine and Graeme will discuss the process of developing their work, the connection between their work and wider narratives and the unique challenges presented by working at an urban scale. The presentation will touch on the design environment in Aotearoa, New Zealand and how processes of whakawhanaunatanga informs unique and world leading outcomes.

The event will feature a Q+A with the artists.


At 5.30pm the artists will conduct a short walk from the Mason Bros lobby to view the work ahead of the talk at 6pm.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
