MATANGO | 1963 Japanese Horror

A psychologist and his girlfriend, a wealthy businessman, a famous singer, a writer, a sailor and his skipper survive a shipwreck and are stranded on an island filled with strange mushrooms. As order breaks down and food becomes scarce, some start to eat the mushrooms, initiating a transformation into zombie-like fungus creatures. A Japanese horror movie Quentin Tarantino singled out as "absolutely terrific."
