Do you have artwork or photos set aside that you have been meaning to get framed?
Now is your chance to get it done.
This will be a comprehensive introductory workshop. Single and double mats will be demonstrated. Discussion on acid free vs. archival board qualities, appropriate backing boards, hinging, measurements and how-to tips for correcting mistakes or flaws in your mats. Excellent handouts and samples provided. Helpful for those just getting started or wanting to expand their basic skills.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Artwork you’ll be framing
Frame to fit the size of your matboard,
two pieces of matboard (we have 11” x 14” matboards to mat and back artwork)
Bring matboard large enough to fit your frame. We have matboard available but supplies and variety are limited.
We will have everything else required to do the job but you are welcome to bring your own tools for matting.
