Start with the delicate melody of Sibelius’s Valse triste – A melancholic waltz of memories both beautiful and somber. Pianist Winston Choi dives into the icy and emotional depths of Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto. Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4, “The Inextinguishable,” finishes the program in fiery, fierce, and dramatic style.
