This course focuses on embedding metacognitive approaches that support the SEND 'Five a Day' (EEF, 2021) framework. Participants will gain a deep understanding of how metacognition enhances learning for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The course explores practical strategies for implementing these approaches adaptively in the classroom, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of all learners. Through a variety of in-school examples, participants will learn how to apply adaptive teaching techniques, bringing these concepts to life in real classroom settings.
