Artistania is excited to host a two hour long masterclass for all musicians to pick our guest's brain on his eclectic musical knowledge and approach.14:00-16:00
Admission fee : 30 Euro
ELIAS STEMESEDER (*1990), pianist, keyboard instrumentalist, electronic musician and composer. Actively performs on acoustic piano, harpsichord, synthesizers and samplers. Current work includes the STEMESEDER - LILLINGER,, Neon Dilemma (with Robert Landfermann, Leif Berger), WRENS (with Ryan Easter, Jason Nazary, Lester St. Louis), as well as collaborative duos with trumpeter Peter Evans and keyboard-instrumentalist Georg Vogel. In addition, he frequently performs as a sideman in ensembles alongside Anna Webber, Adam O’Farrill, Ingrid Laubrock, Chris Tordini and Eric McPherson. Notable past collaborations include Laurie Anderson, John Zorn, Nels Cline, Greg Cohen and Joe McPhee, as well as a longtime membership in the Jim Black Trio (with four critically acclaimed releases on Winter&Winter and Intakt records).
Notable recent releases include ‚UMBRa', 'PIANO SOLO' (Intakt Records), ‚ANTUMBRA', ‚PENUMBRA' (on Plaist Records) and ‚Ddiofeo' (Schattellit Records). Elias Stemeseder was an artist in residence at The Stone NYC in September 2022 and is the winner of the 2023 German Jazz Award in the category Pianist/Keyboardist of the Year.
AAAND he’ll also be opening from 23:00 the "Friends And Neighbors Late Night Jam Session” with Igor Spallati on bass and Ugo Alunni on drums.
