A workshop for those who want to try a form of burlesque that breaks with traditions and expectations💥
�While classic burlesque often draws its strength and style from femininity, queerlesque takes inspiration from a much broader spectrum, masculine, feminine, androgynous and beyond.
It’s about playing with expectations, turning them upside down, exploring different sides of what burlesque can be💭
This round of queerlesque comes with an entirely new choreography and new exercises. So even if you’ve attended the workshop before, you’re more than welcome to join again.

- The opportunity to try classic burlesque moves in new ways and experiment with different styles and expressions.
- Learn a burlesque choreography that blends various movement styles.
- Inspiration to explore different ways of moving, dancing, and expressing yourself through burlesque.
❤️What to expect during the day:
- Introduction and a quick warm-up.
- Classic burlesque with a twist: We work on traditional moves like “bumps ’n grinds” while playing with different ways to perform them – feminine, masculine, sensual, grotesque, spooky, and more.
- Learn a short and simple burlesque choreography blending various movement styles, experimenting with different ways of performing it – using diverse movement qualities and expressions.
- Share the choreography with each other in small groups.
- Wrap-up: discussion of thoughts, feelings, and experiences from the workshop.
💃🏼About the instructor:�Sally Boleyn is a Danish burlesque performer and teacher who has been a strong voice in the Danish burlesque scene since her debut show in 2020. With a background in theater, she is an incredible storyteller, able to entertain and move her audience to tears.
