Join us on Tuesday, 5th of April 2022 at Fix Wine Bar + Restaurant.
It’s our observation that Australian pinot noir has hit a new peak in the latest vintages. Low-production seasons, although unpopular with bean-counters, can boost the concentration of this yield-sensitive grape. The vines are maturing, so are the winemakers, and there are some ripping pinots about.
Come and help us enjoy this stunning line-up of 10 gold ribbon-scoring pinots from a cross-section of regions and producers in Australia and New Zealand. Huon Hooke and Stuart Knox will take you on a wild ride from Tasmania to Orange via the Yarra and Mornington and across the ‘Ditch’ to Marlborough, Martinborough and Central Otago. And we’ll finish with a mystery wine and a prize!
Huon Hooke will taste through these wines, looking at what to eat with them, as well as sharing stories and insights about the wineries.
