Chris Sandvoss
Christopher Sandvoss was the founding violist of the acclaimed Land's End Ensemble, UCalgary Quartet, and the 13th St. Trio. As a performer, Mr. Sandvoss has appeared as soloist with various orchestras, including the Windsor, New Westminster, Sault St. Marie and Red Deer Symphonies and appeared for three seasons with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. He has additionally enjoyed performing and improvising on the violin in many genres (blues, rock, swing, jazz, folk, etc.). As a dedicated educator, Mr. Sandvoss has taught at The University of Calgary, Mount Royal College, at various summer festivals across North America, and is currently the conductor for the MRU Conservatory Strings. Mr. Sandvoss also maintains an international reputation as an award winning luthier. His violins, violas, and 'cellos can be heard in the hands of some of today's finest musicians.
