Barossa and McLaren Vale are two peas in a pod, the most popular, best-known and largest regions for high-quality, warm-climate shiraz in South Australia. They’re often thought to be interchangeable, but in fact they’re very different regions in several ways.
Join Huon Hooke and Stuart Knox for a tasting and discussion of the attributes of these two great wine regions. We’ll savour six shirazes from each region, ranging from the most famous wineries like Yalumba and Hardy’s to the most exciting up-and-comers, such as Eisenstone and Heirloom. It’s not a competition, but a celebration!
