Animation has undergone remarkable transformations since its hand-drawn beginnings. With the introduction of new techniques and styles over the years, the boundaries of what can be achieved in this medium have been continuously expanded. With "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" leading the way, the tried-and-true look that once dominated animation is changing.Visual Development artist Lauren Airriess takes us on an in-depth exploration of the creative process behind choosing and developing a unique style in animation. Lauren will delve into the various components that contribute to an animation's aesthetic, including visual design, colour schemes, lighting, shape language and texture inspiration. You’ll learn about the key influences and decisions that shape the visual identity of today’s greatest animated works, and gain insights into how style enhances storytelling and emotional impact.
