Last time Master Pancake riffed this movie in-person Master Pancake didn't exist. We're hella excited for the return of this vampire classic to our repertoire thanks to the State Theater and the Paramount.
Set in the fictional beachside community of Santa Carla, the movie stars Corey Haim and Jason Patric as new-in-town brothers fighting peer pressure (and vampirism!), Dianne Wiest as their frazzled mom, and Kiefer Sutherland as the leader of the Bat Pack. And let’s not forget the colorful cast of locals, including beach beauty Star (Jami Gertz), the vampire-hunting Frog Brothers (Corey Feldman, Jamison Newlander) and the most glistening lead saxophone player to ever steal a movie in his short appearance at a beach-side concert (Tim Cappello).
