Master Gardener Presentation - All About Garlic
Whether you want to boost your backyard harvest, create pollinator-friendly landscapes, or learn sustainable gardening practices, these workshops will provide tips, tools, and inspiration to help your garden thrive.
All About Garlic
Get ready to dig into the wonderful world of garlic! Join Master Gardener Patty Bodwell for an exploration of garlic varieties, including the differences between hardneck and softneck garlic, and learn how to choose the right types for your garden.
We’ll cover how and when to plant garlic in Colorado, where it grows best, harvesting and curing tips, and which plants make good companions and which are better kept apart. You’ll also get a chance to taste different varieties and compare their flavors. To top it off, take home garlic cloves to plant in your own garden this fall, just in time for overwintering!
