In partnership with the College of St. Scholastica and regional environmental organizations.
Mass for the Endangered is an immersive concert experience that brings music, science, art, and environmental advocacy into dialogue.
At the heart of the event is Sarah Kirkland Snider’s powerful Mass for the Endangered—a contemporary choral work that confronts biodiversity loss, climate grief, and our shared responsibility to care for the natural world. Surrounding the performance is a curated exhibition space featuring environmental organizations, visual artists, and academic departments from the College of St. Scholastica, inviting audiences to engage more deeply with the themes of the music.
Audience members are invited to arrive early and move through the exhibition space at their own pace before the concert begins. Exhibits include visual art, environmental education tables, and opportunities to learn about local conservation efforts. Following the performance, the exhibition space reopens, allowing time for reflection, conversation, and further engagement.
This format encourages both contemplation and action—pairing the emotional power of live music with tangible pathways for learning and involvement.
Any students can use the code Student5 for a discount to admission.
