3 contact hours are available to NYS LCATs, LMHCs, and LMSWs/LCSWs. Mask- making can create a window to the impact trauma can have. As art therapists mask-making is a medium that can be used to understand how trauma impacts our clients personal lives, relationships, and perceptions of their role in the world. Mask making establishes emotional safety by distancing from the trauma to promote empowerment, control, creativity and healing.
