Maskarada w Polsce pojawiła się już za czasów Jana III Sobieskiego. Każdy słyszał historie o słynnych balach w pałacu w Wilanowie, których gwiazdą była królowa Marysieńka. Maskarady za rządów Sobieskiego były jednak zarezerwowane dla wyższych warstw polskiego społeczeństwa.August Mocny zmienił tę sytuację, zezwalając na uczestnictwo w maskaradzie każdemu, kto wniósł odpowiednią opłatę. Pochodzenie uczestników zabawy nie miało najmniejszego znaczenia. Takie też wyobrażenie maskarady króluje w powszechnej wyobraźni.
Największą popularność Maskarady zdobył jednak podczas panowania Augusta III, sam król chętnie w nich uczestniczył. Pod koniec XVIII wieku maskarady zwane także redutami opisywano jako jedną z najlepszych zimowych rozrywek. Nie ma również co ukrywać, że głośna muzyka, nieustanny taniec, a także hazard i alkohol stanowiły nieodłączną część zabawy. Podczas maskarad narodził się także niejeden romans, często wykraczający poza granice pochodzenia, bogactwa czy poziomu edukacji. Początkowo uczestnicy zabaw przebierali się za postacie mitologiczne. W XVIII wieku nie przebierano się już wyłącznie w stroje związane z mitologią , królowały przebrania i maski mnichów, woźniców, kozaków, Żydów i diabłów. Kobiety udawały wieśniaczki lub Turczynki. We wspomnieniach jednego z cudzoziemców uczestniczącego w reducie w Warszawie możemy wyczytać ,ze wiele było też osób w odzieniach codziennych a goście przybywali w obowiązkowych maskach , aby dodać sobie tajemniczości i do końca imprezy pozostać nierozpoznanym.
Wspólnie przeniesiemy się do lat 1765-1785, czyli jednego z okresów życia wybitnej przedstawicielki rodziny Luizy von Krockow. Była ona kobietą wyprzedzającą swoją epokę, autorką podręcznika dla młodych dziewcząt.
Bal odbędzie się w zamkowej sali balowej, towarzyszyć nam będzie muzyka na żywo O stół zadba kuchnia Słodkiego Zamku Krokowa. Dania będą inspirowane kuchnią z epoki. Hotel zamkowy dysponuje 35 miejscami noclegowymi w 19 pokojach.
W przypadku wyczerpania tej puli dostępne będą miejsca noclegowe w pobliżu zamku.
Jak zgłosić udział?
1. Zrób sobie zdjęcie w ubraniu z epoki, w którym planujesz wziąć udział w balu (z przodu; z tyłu; zbliżenia na ozdoby i dodatki).
- Jakie stroje są dopuszczalne?
Wzory z lat 1765-1785, wykonane zgodnie ze sztuka krawiecką epoki, ręcznie lub maszynowo. Materiały naturalne z jak najmniejsza ilością sztucznych domieszek: len, bawełna, jedwab, aksamit. Sukno - dopuszczalne domieszki przy zawartości min. 80% wełny.
2. Prześlij zdjęcia, opis i źródła inspiracji stroju, na adres: [email protected]
3. Poczekaj na zwrotnego maila weryfikacyjnego.
4. W przypadku akceptacji stroju, w mailu z potwierdzeniem otrzymasz dane i numer konta na które należy wnieść opłaty. Znajdzie się tam także kontakt do recepcji hotelu itp.
Nie przeszedłeś weryfikacji? Nie martw się. Istnieje możliwość poprawienia uchybień i dołączenia do nas po ponownej weryfikacji i zastosowaniu się do uwag organizatorów.
Opłata za udział to 450/os. Jest to opłata za kolację na balu oraz muzykę na żywo. Termin płatności do 24 stycznia 2026 roku .

Countess Louisa von Krockow would like to extend a sincere invitation to the hospitable abode of Krokov Castle for a ball to celebrate her birthday. The event will take place on February 10, 2024. As this is the time of Carnival in full swing, the ball will be in the form of a Masquerade. An obligatory accessory will, of course, be a mask, which will add a touch of mystery to the atmosphere of the ball.
The masquerade appeared in Poland during the times of Jan III Sobieski. The masquerade appeared in Poland during the times of Jan III Sobieski. Everyone has heard stories about the famous balls in the Wilanów palace where , the star was Queen Marysieńka. However, during Sobieski's rule , masquerades were reserved for the high layers of Polish society.
Augustus the Strong changed this situation by allowing anyone who paid the appropriate fee to participate in the masquerade. The origin of the participants of the game did not matter in the slightest. This image of a masquerade dominates the common imagination.
However, the Masquerades gained the greatest popularity during the reign of Augustus III, and the king himself willingly participated in them. In the late 18th century, masquerades, also known as redoubts, were described as one of the best winter entertainments. There is no denying that loud music, constant dancing, as well as gambling and alcohol were an integral part of the fun. Many romances were also born during the masquerades, often going beyond the boundaries of origin, wealth or level of education. Initially, the participants dressed up as mythological characters. In the 18th century, people no longer dressed up exclusively in costumes related to mythology, but the disguises and masks of monks, charioteers, Cossacks, Jews and devils reigned supreme. The Women pretended to be peasants or Turkish women. In the memories of one of the foreign participant in the redoubt in Warsaw, we can read that there were many people in everyday clothes and guests arrived wearing mandatory masks to add mystery and remain unrecognized until the end of the event.
Together we will go to the years 1765-1785, i.e. one of the periods in the life of an outstanding representative of the family, Luiza von Krockow. She was a woman ahead of her time, the author of a textbook for young girls.
The ball will take place in the castle ballroom. The band Silva Rerum arte & fund will perform during the ball. The kitchen of Słodki Zamek Krokowa will take care of the table. The dishes will be inspired by period cuisine. The castle hotel has 35 beds in 19 rooms.
In due to the lack of enough rooms accommodation will be available near the castle.
How to register?
1. Take a photo of yourself in the period clothes you plan to wear to the ball (front; back; close-ups of decorations and accessories).
- What outfits are acceptable?
Patterns from the years 1765-1785, made in accordance with the tailoring art of this period, by hand or machine. Natural materials with as little artificial additives as possible: linen, cotton, silk, velvet. Cloth - admixtures allowed with min. 80% wool.

4. If the outfit is accepted, you will receive the details and account number to which the fees should be paid in the confirmation e-mail. There will also be contact details for the hotel reception, etc.

Die Maskerade tauchte in Polen bereits zu Zeiten von Jan III. Sobieski auf. Jeder kennt die Geschichten über die berühmten Bälle im Palast von Wilanów, deren Star Königin Marysieńka war. Unter der Herrschaft von Sobieski waren Maskeraden jedoch den höheren Schichten der polnischen Gesellschaft vorbehalten.
August der Starke änderte diese Situation, indem er jedem, der eine entsprechende Gebühr entrichtete, die Teilnahme an der Maskerade gestattete. Die Herkunft der Teilnehmer spielte dabei keine Rolle. Diese Vorstellung von der Maskerade dominiert auch heute noch die allgemeine Vorstellung.
Die größte Popularität erlangten Maskeraden jedoch während der Herrschaft von August III., der selbst gerne an ihnen teilnahm. Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts wurden Maskeraden, auch Redouten genannt, als eine der besten Wintervergnügungen beschrieben. Es ist auch kein Geheimnis, dass laute Musik, ununterbrochenes Tanzen sowie Glücksspiel und Alkohol ein fester Bestandteil des Vergnügens waren. Während der Maskeraden entstanden auch viele Romanzen, die oft über die Grenzen der Herkunft, des Reichtums oder des Bildungsniveaus hinausgingen. Ursprünglich verkleideten sich die Teilnehmer als mythologische Figuren. Im 18. Jahrhundert verkleidete man sich nicht mehr ausschließlich mit Kostümen aus der Mythologie, sondern es dominierten Verkleidungen und Masken von Mönchen, Kutschern, Kosaken, Juden und Teufeln. Frauen gaben sich als Bäuerinnen oder Türkinnen aus.
In den Erinnerungen eines Ausländers, der an der Redoute in Warschau teilgenommen hat, können wir lesen, dass viele Personen in Alltagskleidung anwesend waren und die Gäste in obligatorischen Masken erschienen, um sich geheimnisvoll zu geben und bis zum Ende der Veranstaltung unerkannt zu bleiben.
Gemeinsam begeben wir uns in die Jahre 1765-1785, also in eine der Lebensphasen der herausragenden Vertreterin der Familie Luise von Krockow. Sie war eine Frau, die ihrer Zeit voraus war und ein Handbuch für junge Mädchen verfasste.
Der Ball findet im Ballsaal des Schlosses statt, begleitet von Live-Musik. Für das leibliche Wohl sorgt die Küche des Słodki Zamek Krokowa. Die Gerichte sind von der Küche der damaligen Zeit inspiriert. Das Schlosshotel verfügt über 35 Übernachtungsplätze in 19 Zimmern.
Sollten diese ausgebucht sein, stehen Unterkünfte in der Nähe des Schlosses zur Verfügung.
Wie melde ich mich an?
1. Machen Sie ein Foto von sich in der Kleidung aus der Epoche, in der Sie am Ball teilnehmen möchten (von vorne, von hinten, Nahaufnahmen von Verzierungen und Accessoires).
- Welche Kleidung ist zulässig?
Modelle aus den Jahren 1765-1785, die nach den Regeln der damaligen Schneiderkunst handgefertigt oder maschinell hergestellt wurden. Natürliche Materialien mit möglichst geringem Anteil an künstlichen Beimischungen: Leinen, Baumwolle, Seide, Samt. Tuch – Beimischungen mit einem Anteil von mindestens 80 % Wolle sind zulässig.

3. Warten Sie auf eine Bestätigungs-E-Mail.
4. Wenn das Kostüm akzeptiert wird, erhalten Sie in der Bestätigungs-E-Mail die Daten und die Kontonummer, auf die die Gebühren zu überweisen sind. Dort finden Sie auch die Kontaktdaten der Hotelrezeption usw.
Sie haben die Überprüfung nicht bestanden? Keine Sorge. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, die Mängel zu beheben und nach einer erneuten Überprüfung und Berücksichtigung der Anmerkungen der Organisatoren doch noch teilzunehmen.
Die Teilnahmegebühr beträgt 450 PLN pro Person. Diese Gebühr beinhaltet das Abendessen auf dem Ball und die Live-Musik. Die Zahlung ist bis zum 24. Januar 2026 fällig.
