Join Masicorp for an unforgettable evening of comedy and live music in support of education in Masiphumelele. This special charity event forms part of Masicorp’s Mandela Month campaign and will raise vital funds to support educational programmes that create brighter futures for children and young people in the community. Guests will enjoy performances by three outstanding South African artists: Marc Lottering, Jeremy Olivier and Jenny & the Jameses. The evening will also feature a fundraising auction with exciting items up for bid.
Mandela Month Food Drive
In the spirit of Mandela Day, guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item. Donations will help provide daily meals to nearly 500 children attending Masicorp’s three early childhood development centres in Masiphumelele. Guests are also invited to write a message of hope and support, which will be displayed during the event.

Through programmes ranging from early childhood development, maths, science and literacy support to skills training. Masicorp works to empower children, youth and adults to build brighter futures.

Marc Lottering
One of South Africa’s most celebrated comedians, Marc Lottering has entertained audiences for more than two decades with his distinctive humour and storytelling. A multiple award-winning writer and performer, he has created 16 one-man stage shows and the hugely successful Aunty Merle musicals. Jeremy Olivier
Originally from Zimbabwe and now based in Cape Town, Jeremy Olivier is a highly accomplished guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. A graduate of the University of Cape Town College of Music, he has performed alongside artists including George Benson, Johnny Clegg and Freshlyground. Jenny & James
Original Folk duo ‘Jenny & James’ from Cape Town South Africa are two parts of the original ‘Jenny and the Jameses trio’. With a fresh original sound Jennifer Eaves ( guitar & vocals) and James Hall ( fiddle & vocals) weave together new material inspired by their love for folk music, story telling, and Celtic music. Jenny & James have been performing together for the past 11 years in and around South Africa, and have also enjoyed performing in the Netherlands & Scotland.
Performing a mixture of original folk music combined with Celtic tunes, this duo crafts a show that takes the listener on a journey through heart felt lyrics, rich harmonies & foot tapping reels.
Jenny & James have performed in venues large and small all around South Africa, including festivals such as the Cape Town Folk and Acoustic Festival, White Mountain festival, Barleycorn Festivals, Voorkamer Festival, Taste of Darling Festival, opened for Johnny Clegg on the Holland leg of his world tour, and were invited to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019.
