Masala Festival – Bijlee / बिजली / Electric⚡

BIJLEE is Masala Festival's first ever multidisciplinary club night, where Bollywood, Ghazal and Qawwali classics are reimagined through contemporary club edits of Oldskool Hardcore, 90s Jungle, Footwork, Garage, Bassline, Dubstep, Baile Funk and more.
Busk With Us opens up the night with interactive workshops, inviting audience members to remix pre-partition archives into live visuals for the DJs, whilst also celebrating 10 years of Masala Festival through upcycling a decade of press cuttings, images and ephemera into collages that capture the festival's history.
BIJLEE's South Asian line-up of DJs and artists include Chande and Lotus Phaze from Daytimers, high-energy sets from PSK and Jameela; and live Bollywood x Jungle remixer, Haaji Ka Halva, capture the evolution and expansion of South Asian sounds shaping the UK's underground club scenes.
