Marz Motel is the name of a beer made in homage to classic roadside motels and hotels found near Midway airport. It’s a pretty damn good hazy India Pale Ale.The Marz Motel Art Fair is inspired by the art and craft fairs that were held in the convention rooms of those motels and hotels.
Our imaginary interpretation of these fairs transforms the Mahoney Room in the Ace into a one day art exhibition showcasing the work of the artists and designers that make all things Marz Community Brewing Co. The works exhibited adorn the labels on our beverages and can be seen in art that appears on the walls in Marz's two taprooms.
We will exhibit works by: Michael Freimuth, Nana Nozaki, Jeff Zimmerman, Paul Nudd, Louie Capozzoli, Alex Hupp, Edie Fake, Stephen Eichorn, James Liu, Jeremiah Chiu, Drew Ryan, Mathew Salazar ( Two Tone Comics), Hydeon, Won Kim, Luke Pelletier, Tess Havas and others
The art fair is free to the public. A series of works will be on display along with a special Marz Artist Editions shop. Artists and designers that work with Marz will be in attendance and the first 100 guests will be given a special Marz gift bag tote with some swag!
Guests to the fair will be able to sample Marz beverages and enjoy the brunch and lunch menu of the Ace Hotel kitchen.
