Maryland Day at the Rising Sun Inn

Step into 1785 on Sunday, March 23, 2025 and join us at the Rising Sun Inn for touring with our 18th century costumed guides. Try our virtual self guided tour using your mobile device (headphones encouraged). Tours should be scheduled in advance, but walk ins will be accepted with payment at the door. Pricing for this special Maryland Day event is only $1.00!!

Taverns were more than a local watering hole; they were community centers. The Rising Sun Inn was a Colonial farmhouse and 18th century Tavern. Built circa 1753, her owners and residents were witnesses to the birth of a new Nation.

Tours run from 12PM-4PM, with the last tour starting at 3:45PM.
