About this Event

We’ll cut the beautiful flowers blooming at the garden and learn tips on how to arrange them! There will also be opportunities to engage around the MCA Green Arts Alley initiative. If you have a vase you'd like to bring, please do so! The planning team has limited vases we will be bringing.

This event is a part of a MCA collaboration with local architecture firm, Detroit Collaborative Design Center (DCDC), located down the street at University of Detroit Mercy. DCDC + MCA will be engaging residents to design the alley between Indiana St and Kentucky St from Florence to Puritan. This work will establish a vision and vibe for the future redevelopment of the alley as a part of MCA’s Civic Commons. DCDC believes that it's important to meet people where they're at and have engagement that is both productive and fun, hence this flower arranging event!
