About this Event
On January 26th, Berlin-based artist MARY OCHER, returns to North America for the first time in 5 years. Known for her unique blend of pop and avant-garde, Mary’s music spans post-punk, folk, field recordings, cosmic synth explorations, and deconstructed techno. Her latest album showcases collaborations with iconic names like Mogwai, psych-rock visionary King Khan, electronic powerhouses Red Axes, and her drummers Your Government. The album also features works inspired by fusion harpist Dorothy Ashby, 12th-century Persian poet Omar Khayyam, and a tribute to electronic music pioneer Delia Derbyshire, among others.
The two albums are accompanied by the political texts:-
"A Guide to Radical Living: A no nonsense guide to living comfortably with just enough: Why wealth needs poverty and how not to play along"(available digitally, as an accompaniment to "Your Guide to Revolution").http://maryocher.com/G2RL-
