Bradley Murphy and Mary Beth Carty are forces of nature in the traditional music scene. Together they bring a combination of sounds from ecstatic party highs that make you want to dance for your life, to soothing Gaelic ballads rooted in respect for the tradition of the ancestors who came before them.
Bradley Murphy’s latest release “Beul” sets ancient Gaelic songs to acousto-electric loop-scapes, and Mary Beth Carty’s latest release “Crossing the Causeway” earned her the title of Traditional Singer of the Year at the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards.
