Entry Fee: $35 per player / $75 per team
What Is This Event?
The Marvel Super Heroes prerelease is being run exclusively as Two-Headed Giant at most WPN stores — a first for Magic! Team up with a partner and battle other duos using brand-new Marvel Super Heroes cards a full week before the set's official release.
This is the ultimate team-up experience: assemble your duo, crack packs, build decks together, and face off against other teams. Perfect for experienced players AND newcomers alike.
What Every Player Receives
Each player (both members of the team) gets a Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease Pack containing:
• 6 Marvel Super Heroes Play Boosters
• 1 foil, Rare or Mythic Rare promo card
• 1 deck box
• 1 Spindown life counter die
That's 12 boosters per team to build from — everything you open is yours to keep!
How It Works
• Grab a partner — each team is 2 players
• Each team pools all 12 boosters and builds two 40-card minimum decks from the combined card pool
• Teammates may share cards freely during deckbuilding
• Basic lands provided by the store
• Deck construction time: ~45 minutes
• Teams share a combined starting life total of 30 life
• 3 Swiss rounds, Best of 1 per round
• ~50 minute round timer
• First team to reduce the opposing team to 0 life wins the game
Prize Support
Most stores are awarding:
• 1 Marvel Super Heroes Play Booster per player per match win (up to 3 wins = up to 6 boosters per team)
• Additional door prizes or random drawings at the store's discretion
Bonus Swag (while supplies last)
• Players who attended an Avengers Academy event (June 12–18) AND play in a 2HG Prerelease receive a pair of wearable Loki horns
• Themed drawstring bag + double-sided Hero // Villain token available for players who participated in Avengers Academy at a registered store

• A Wizards Account is required to participate — sign up at accounts.wizards.com
• Players will need their MTG Arena email address for event check-in
• Download the MTG Companion App before the event
• Pre-registration is recommended — seats are limited per flight
• Arrive at least 30 minutes early for check-in
