Join us for a new series of screenings in the library's Montalbano Family Theatre highlighting the complexity of Marvel movies. Are you feeling overwhelmed by superhero fatigue? Has Marvel strayed too far its comic book origins? With intricate plots, numerous characters, and a specific viewing order, you might find yourself wanting to revisit the excitement of the fandom on the big screen.After the movie, there will be an opportunity for a short discussion with other audience members.

This month we will be screening Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)!
Brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand-with the galaxy's fate in the balance.
