A lifetime of music, live on stage.
Marty Wendell is a Rockabilly Hall of Fame artist whose career spans more than six decades, rooted in the earliest days of rock and roll. Inspired by the sounds of Sun Records in the 1950s, Marty taught himself guitar and quickly found his way onto the stage—setting off a lifelong journey in music. His talent and dedication led to a pivotal connection with Johnny Cash in the early 1960s, and by 1968, Marty was performing as an opening act during the era of Live at Folsom Prison. Along the way, he built relationships with legends like Carl Perkins and members of The Statler Brothers, embedding himself in the living history of American roots music.
Over the years, Marty has shared the stage with a remarkable list of artists including Arlo Guthrie, Connie Smith, Hank Thompson, Sonny James, and The Platters, among many others. He has recorded extensively, including sessions at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, and has released numerous albums that blend rockabilly, country, gospel, and Americana. His work has earned critical recognition, including multiple award nominations and a place in regional and national music halls of fame. Even now, Marty continues to write, record, and perform new material—carrying forward the spirit of early rock and roll while adding his own voice to its ongoing story.
Expect a mix of original songs, classic sounds, and stories from a life spent in music.
A rare chance to experience a true living legacy of American roots music.
