Please join us for refreshments and beverages as we celebrate the Martinez Historical Society's 50th Anniversary. The event will take place at the Martinez Museum on Sunday, January 5th from 3 pm to 6 pm.The Martinez Historical Society was established 50 years ago in 1974 to restore the 1890 Borland House. The plan, which was successfully implemented, resulted in a beautifully restored Victorian building that is now one of the community's crown jewels. Today, the building houses a local history library, the City archives and numerous museum exhibition rooms.
The CCCCD (Contra Costa Community College District) was the Society's first and primary restoration partner. The Martinez Refining Company provided funding for this anniversary event so there is no charge for you and your visitors to attend.
