It's an official holiday, let's remember the purpose of the day with a walk. We are hosting a group walk with 5 km and 10 km options. Meet at the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School at 4801 Idaho Street in Vancouver, where we have permission to park for the morning. The walk will be mainly in residential areas of nice homes. The 10 km will also go past very expensive homes with views of Portland and the Columbia River. The 5 and 10 km distances are both rated 1A (easy). There are no restrooms at the start but both routes will pass Safeway at the 2km distance. We walk about 3 miles per hour.Registration is from 9:40 am to 9:55 am. We ask all participants to sign the Amateur Athletic Waiver and Release of Liability. Please arrive early so the walks can start at 10 am.
