Are you more of a Mary or a Martha? Do you find joy in sitting at Jesus' feet, or do you sometimes feel torn between spending time with God and caring for those you love, including yourself? What worries have kept you from living a full spiritual life?Join us as we dive into Luke's powerful gospel, which contains more stories about women than any other. We'll begin with the story of Mary and Martha and explore how Jesus related to the women of his time in a radically different way. We'll discover what his message of transformation looks like for women and what it means to serve and be served by Jesus. As we examine these stories, we'll uncover how Jesus heals, frees, and empowers women, bringing them to wholeness and holiness.
Your Host:
Susan Yanos has been a parish director of Catholic religious education, a catechist, and a professor of writing and literature. She directed the Ministry of Writing Program at Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, Indiana. Susan has led retreats and conducted programs across Indiana and in her home diocese, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Her next stop is Lindenwood!
