About the Authors:
Marta Lindsey has lived just a block from Golden Gate Park for almost twenty years. She’s explored every corner of the park on foot and bicycle, most often with her family. Marta’s award-winning picture book, Golden Gate Park, An A to Z Adventure, introduced readers to many of the park’s unique features and unusual stories. In Discovering Golden Gate Park: A Local’s Guide, Marta takes her curiosity for the park to the next level to connect readers with a wide range of experiences and perspectives.
Nancy Botkin started mapping her world when she was seven years old alongside her grandfather, a surveyor. She went on to major in geography in college. Nancy’s been designing and leading walking and biking tours in San Francisco for more than 25 years. Nancy lives near the Panhandle of Golden Gate Park, and goes to the park almost every day.
