About this Event
Life is always changing—but do we take the time to honor those changes? Too often, we rush past transitions or get stuck at the threshold, unsure how to move forward. Nature, creativity, and ritual offer us a way to slow down, witness what is shifting, and make meaning from it.
Join award-winning author, artist, and ritualist Day Schildkret, creator of Morning Altars, for a hands-on workshop exploring how nature-based art and ritual can help us navigate change. Held in the stunning surroundings of the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory, this experience invites you to pause, create, and connect—with yourself, with the land, and with the unseen forces that guide transformation.
In this immersive Four-hour workshop, you will:
Learn the 7-step Morning Altars practice—a creative, meditative process of making impermanent earth altars to honor change.
Engage in the power of symbolic action—discover how making art from nature can help you process and integrate life’s transitions.
Create your own Morning Altar—a personal, nature-based offering to mark a life transition or bring meaning to whatever is present for you.
Experience the magic of collective ritual—witness and be witnessed as we honor personal and shared transformations.
Whether you are celebrating, grieving, or sensing a new chapter emerging, this workshop offers a meaningful, creative, and heart-opening way to engage with change. Come ready to explore, create, and leave with a newfound sense of clarity and connection.
No artistic experience is necessary—just an open heart and a willingness to engage with the beauty of the moment.
