Let our Marketing Expert in Residence offer help and guidance for start-ups and new businesses in our free 1-to-1 sessions
About this Event

Have you just started your own business or have an idea for a business but aren’t sure what marketing you should be carrying out or when?

If you are based in the Bristol area our FREE 45 minute, one-to-one, sessions allow start-ups, SMEs or those looking to start their business journey the opportunity to sit down with our Expert Marketer in residence and discuss their plans.

  • During these sessions we can provide you assistance in.
  • Developing your company mission, vision and values
  • Advising on the ideal look and feel for your branding
  • Identifying your ideal customer to target
  • Website design/ SEO
  • Social media and the appropriate use of it for your business
  • Development of a pitch story and supporting pitch deck

Please note these sessions are limited to 45 minutes, if you wish to engage our expert for longer or for them to take on any of this work for you, that will need to be done as a contracted arrangement.

Expert Marketer in residence

Elizabeth Blake is our Marketing Expert in Residence. She has worked in sales and marketing for 30+ years in multinational companies as well as start ups in Bristol. She has a wide range of experience in developing and marketing new products and companies as well as developing and delivering pitch decks to secure funding. The last round she was involved in resulted in a £4.1million fundraise.

Her previous employer said, “Elizabeth is an exceptional marketing talent and has a unique ability to align a focussed marketing strategy to support commercial objectives ensuring sales performance and success.”

What is your refund policy?

Our events are free, but places are limited and events are usually oversubscribed. Please give two working days’ notice via email if you wish to cancel.

Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?

Absolutely! Any Bristol based business or person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
