About this Event

Wilfrid Laurier University's Brantford campus is kicking off its 25th anniversary with , a two-day celebration of contemporary Indigenous artists, artisans, performers, thinkers and makers. Join us at One Market on Sept. 27 (3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) and 28 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) for:


  • An Indigenous vendor marketplace curated by Indigenous artist and Laurier alumna Alanah Jewell of Morningstar Designs
  • Panels and academic lectures led by Darren Thomas, Laurier’s associate vice president of Indigenous Initiatives
  • Live music by contemporary and traditional Indigenous performers


A detailed schedule of lectures and performances will be available at in advance of the event.


The event is free and open to the public thanks to funding from the Samuel W. Stedman Foundation, Laurier Brantford Grants and the Wilfrid Laurier University Student Life Levy. Tickets are not required.
