Warm up your winter at Market Street Live, taking over the Market District on Friday 12 June. Start with a wander through the Central Markets for a bite or browse, then head to Market Street as the evening unfolds.
As dusk falls, the street comes alive with live music, DJs and roaming fire performances. DJ Ruby Chew brings her signature high-energy sound to the decks, while a live jazz trio delivers a soulful soundtrack throughout the night. The Dragon Mill Fire Twirlers weave through the crowd, lighting up the street with bursts of flame and sparkle.
Flavours of the Street will be in full swing, with Lot 10 Cucina, Market Street Cafe, Southern Noodle Bar and Simon Taste Chinese BBQ all open and serving.
In the laneways, a pop-up gallery will showcase contemporary works by Adelaide artist Frank Grauso. Drawn from everyday observations, passing moments and the constant flow of news imagery, Grauso's works transform recognisable subjects through layering, distortion and repetition, gradually dissolving into abstraction while retaining the emotional atmosphere of their original source.
For rooftop views, Merrymaker Rooftop Bar on level 16 of Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets will host DJ and vocalist Lesley Williams.
