Mark Currey & Jacob Furr

Join us for a House Concert featuring Mark Currey and Jacob Furr.
Mark is a Fort Worth native who now lives in Little Rock. Inspired by roots rock, classic country, folk and Americana music as well as southern gothic literature, Mark is a storyteller searching for an honest expression of his own southern voice.
Jacob is a high profile ambassador for the music scene in Fort Worth, advocating and performing for the cause all over the country. He says of his songs "I’m mostly surprised by how [my songs] have touched people over the years, and by how many people tell me they listen to them as they moved across the country or lost and gained partners. That makes me glad. What more could I want than for my experience to be echoed inside of a friend? That is what writing is about to me, an attempt to honestly express an emotion of thought, grief, or love, and if it is done well, it comes back to you.”
There is a suggested donation of $20, with all proceeds going to the artists. As always for our shows, we'll have something to eat, and you are welcome to bring potluck or shareable snacks. After the show, stick around for a song circle, so bring your instruments and voices.
We hope to see a bunch of you!
