Maritime Concert Opera presents Carousel by Rogers and Hammerstein

Considered an American classic, the ambitious and bold Carousel (1945) is a quintessential landmark in the canon of American musical theatre, featuring such instantly recognizable classics as “If I Loved You,” “June is Bustin’ Out All Over” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
With a story as deep as any dramatic opera, Carousel lends itself to being produced by opera companies because of the full, trained voices it requires. Maritime Concert Opera is pleased to present our first production of this great musical, featuring baritone Justin Welsh as Billy, sopranos Cara Adams and Katie Cochrane as Julie and Carrie, tenor Andrew Pelrine as Enoch Snow and mezzo Nina Scott-Stoddart as Nettie Fowler. Music director Tara Scott conducts from the keyboard with the MCO Chorus adding their voices to the ensemble.
