Marion McNeill is the co-founder of the Inverclyde Skywatchers’ Astronomy Group, a community-driven organization dedicated to fostering interest and education in astronomy and science. Under her leadership, the group has grown into a vibrant network of astronomy enthusiasts, organizing events, stargazing sessions, and educational programs for people of all ages.
In recognition of her significant contributions to astronomy and science outreach, Marion was awarded the Sir Patrick Moore Prize from the British Astronomy Association in 2024, honouring her dedication to inspiring others to explore the wonders of the night sky. Through her passion, leadership, and commitment to community engagement, Marion has become a respected figure in astronomy circles.
