Are you passionate about marine life and conservation efforts? Do you want to learn more about the fascinating world of marine mammals and how you can help protect them? Look no further! We are excited to introduce a new educational class that focuses on marine mammals and marine mammal conservation efforts for kids and adults.
Why Marine Mammals?
Marine mammals, such as dolphins, whales, seals, and manatees, play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our oceans. These incredible creatures are not only fascinating to learn about but also face numerous threats such as pollution, climate change, and habitat destruction. By understanding the importance of marine mammals and the challenges they face, we can work together to protect and conserve these amazing animals for future generations.
What to Expect in the Class
Our educational class will take you on a journey through the world of marine mammals. You will learn about the different Gulf species of marine mammals, their habitats, behaviors, and the conservation efforts being made to protect them. Through an engaging presentation, interactive activities, and hands-on artifacts, you will gain a deeper appreciation for these magnificent creatures and the importance of preserving their habitats.
Who Can Join?
This class is recommended for kids(10+ & Up) and adults who are curious about marine mammals and passionate about conservation. Whether you are a student looking to expand your knowledge, a parent seeking educational opportunities for your child, or a nature enthusiast eager to learn more about marine mammals, this class is perfect for you.
Marine Mammal School includes : Intro to Marine Mammals presentation, Marine Mammal Themed take home bag, Certificate of Completion, and Early entrance to the NBSTCC. All ages are welcome but encouraged for 7 years and up. Participants 12 years of age or younger, must be accompanied by an adult with a Guest Ticket. There are select class dates available; click on Register for Marine Mammal School today!
PROGRAM TIME: 8:30 am to 10:00 am on select dates.
Each program accommodates up to 15 “Participant students” and 15 guest/parent or guardian. Guest tickets are only available with purchase of Participant ticket.

$7.00 per Guest/Parent or Guardian
Program Length: 1.5 hours (90 minutes)
NBSTCC has a "No Refund Policy" to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and to provide a memorable experience for all guests. Thank you in advance and we look forward to your visit! NBSTCC opens to the public at 10am, during the last 30 minutes, when Marine Mammal School participants are on the self-guided exploration, enjoying a Scavenger Hunt, or shopping in the Gift Shop, there may be public guests arriving to visit the NBSTCC.
