Marine debris is a 21st Century global environmental concern. Do you want to be a part of our efforts to alleviate the impacts of marine debris closer to home? Join our community scientist team and help us to remove marine debris from local barrier islands, salt marshes and tidal creeks.
Community scientists will be trained on how to document marine debris collected using the Marine Debris Tracker (MDT) app. (https://www.debristracker.org/).
Following the training, community scientists will “adopt” a local site and work in teams to remove marine debris on a monthly basis.
