Marina Bay Sands Evening Walk

It is no secret that much of Singapore is man-made. From Collyer Quay (itself, a reclaimed masterpiece), to the far out-of-sight Marina Barrage, - much of all these were man-made. MBS is one of our most expensive and most adventurous technological master-piece. And it has succeeded way beyond what anyone could have imagine.

Our walk starts with a narration on the very basic process of land reclamation – itself a subject to be studied (arduously) and with care too. For many years, the reclaimed land sat idle much to the delight of wild-life that once frolicked there. Those were the years before the skyline changed into what it is today! If truth be told, not all land available have been used to the maximum. So, it is interesting to see what the future holds for us….

We meet at 6pm on the 27th September 2022 (TUESDAY), at The Arcade, just above the Raffles MRT station. This tour will end at The Esplanade - Theatres on The Bay, about 7.30, maybe 8pm.
