ABOUT:
Students in the Rock Band program at Marin School of the Arts are provided with unique opportunities to learn, create, and perform. As part of the MSA curriculum, students engage in self-directed and collaborative musicianship while being given instruction in songwriting, music theory, and instrumental techniques. Alumni of the MSA Rock Bands have gone on to earn admission to prestigious college music schools and achieve success as professional musicians. The Rock program at Marin School of the Arts currently consists of six bands. Students have varying levels of experience, but all perform a wide variety of repertoire, including covers from various eras of rock and pop and their own original songs.
