The Mexico City based Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán headlines the annual Mariachi Extravaganza featuring the largest gathering of the greatest mariachis in the world. With over 125 years of tradition, Vargas continues to set the global standard for mariachi excellence with flawless performances, exceptional musicianship and vocals, masterful arrangements and hundreds of recordings. Opening the program are the Mariachi Extravaganza National Competition Winners?elite student and emerging ensembles who have risen to the top in the most competitive mariachi stage in the world. It?s an experience audiences have enjoyed for 32 consecutive years in one of the longest running mariachi music festivals in the U.S.
