Maria Taylor Live at The Echo Bridge
About this Event
The Echo Bridge Appreciation Society is proud to present Maria Taylor under the bridge on Sunday, July 28th at 7pm.
Maria Taylor is a singer-songwriter and founding member of Azure Ray, recognized for her understated vocals, cinematic arrangements, and emotionally precise songwriting. Across her solo work and collaborations with artists including Conor Oberst, Phoebe Bridgers, and Adam Duritz, Taylor has developed a distinctive sound rooted in atmosphere, restraint, and narrative subtlety.
Her forthcoming album, Story’s End, was written over several years and completed during a period of significant personal upheaval, giving the record both urgency and emotional clarity. The album unfolds as a loosely connected narrative—songs operating as chapters that explore fracture, loss, and the search for solace, while expanding on Taylor’s signature use of bell-like piano, sweeping strings, and spacious production.
Recorded between Taylor’s home studio in California and ARC Studios in Omaha, Story’s End was produced by Ben Brodin, with contributions from Mike Mogis, Brad Armstrong, Nate Walcott, Pierre DeReeder, and lyrical and vocal contributions from Conor Oberst. Balancing intimacy with cinematic scope, Story’s End positions Taylor at a mature creative peak, offering a refined, resonant body of work that underscores her enduring relevance in the indie and singer-songwriter landscape.
