Margot Wagner, the pearl and the magpie (album release concert)

Margot Wagner is a singer/songwriter/lyricist based in the East Bay. Margot’s songwriting combines elements of folk, indie-rock, americana, and women’s chorus. Her songs notably feature strong melodies and lush vocal arrangements. Her guitar work often integrates alternative tunings. Influenced by the works of Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Gillian Welch, Aimee Mann, Andrew Bird, and Nick Drake, Margot’s lyrics are playful and poetic.

The pearl and the magpie is Margot Wagner’s third album. In the early 2000s she was signed to a small record label, recorded studio albums, and toured nationally. Since then, she has been involved in various cover bands and choirs. While her work as a singer/songwriter places her firmly in the indie-folk tradition, she also enjoys performing a wide range of genres and styles and is a member of the Bay Area cover band, The Great Space Coaster.

For this album release event, Margot will be joined by special musical guests, including a vocal quartet.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door general admission; $15 for students with ID. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.

Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
