🇭🇺A budapesti Mare Sonoro küldetése Dél-Itália zenei örökségének hiteles életre keltése, miközben a dallamok révén szerves kulturális párbeszédet kezdeményez a magyar, az olasz és az egyetemes európai hangzások között. Repertoárunk a mediterrán vidékek tradicionális motívumaiból és azok kortárs világzenei reflexióiból táplálkozik, elegánsan ötvözve a legendás klasszikusokat a nápolyi dalkincs legszebb remekeivel.
Első EP-nk, a Solanima (Naplélek) eddigi művészi utunk esszenciája. Ez a hatszámos kompozíció a napsütötte salentói partoktól és a romantikus szicíliai erkély jelenetektől a nyüzsgő nápolyi utcákon át egészen a sötét, városi lebujok intim világáig vezeti a hallgatót. A művek sokszínű mozaikját egy mély balfolkos beütés fűzi egységes szövetté.
🇮🇹La missione del gruppo di Budapest “Mare Sonoro” è quella di far rivivere in modo autentico il patrimonio musicale dell’Italia meridionale, costruendo, attraverso le melodie, una speciale connessione tra le sonorità italiana, quella ungherese e quella europea in senso piú ampio. Il nostro repertorio accoglie i suoni tradizionali delle regioni mediterranee e delle loro riflessioni contemporanee nella world music, fondendo l’eleganza dei grandi classici con i capolavori del repertorio napoletano.
Il nostro primo EP, Solanima (Anima del Sole), è l’essenza del nostro percorso artistico fino ad oggi. Questa raccolta di sei brani accompagna l’ascoltatore dalle soleggiate coste del Salento e dai romantici balconi siciliani, attraverso le vivaci strade di Napoli, fino all’intimo mondo dei bui locali metropolitani. Un profondo e trascinante ritmo balfolk intreccia questo variegato mosaico di brani in un tessuto omogeneo.
🇬🇧The Budapest-based Mare Sonoro band has a dual aim: to authentically represent the musical world of South-Italy and to find musical connections between Italy and Hungary and the rest of Europe. Our repertoire includes traditional melodies from South-Italy, some of them arranged with a touch of world music, as well as some of the best known popular and Neapolitan songs.
With our first EP "Solanima" (Spirit of the Sun) we wish to summarize our common work so far. Through its six tracks the listeners are invited to a trip from the sun-drenched beaches of Salento to a balcony scene in Sicily, from the bustling streets of Naples to smoky underground bars. The wide range of musical styles is enriched with a gentle touch of balfolk
