Moon travels through a mysterious world free of adults. She meets a sage and her translator in a mountain hut, where she tries to understand what is happening. She meets many others who show her different possibilities for living. She observes and moves on into an unknown future.
The film will be followed by a live Q&A with the film's director Ben Rivers, hosted by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Mark Jenkin.
Mark Jenkin
Mark Jenkin is a BAFTA award-winning filmmaker, distinguished professor at Falmouth University, and Cornish Bard recognised by Gorsedh Kernow. His feature films, including Bait, Enys Men, and Rose Of Nevada, have enjoyed widespread critical praise for his hand-cranked 16mm analogue techniques and distinctive narrative approach.
Ben Rivers
Ben Rivers is a filmmaker, writer, and multidisciplinary visual artist from Somerset. Across four decades he has worked in experimental, documentary, and narrative fiction film, with award winning titles such as Two Years at Sea, Bogancloth, Krabi 2562, and A Spell To Ward Off the Darkness, co-directed with Ben Russell. A recipient of the Pardo Verde Award, Rivers' themes often focus on the human relationship to nature, magic, and time, utilising analogue media alternatives and hand-developed 16mm film.
