Mare Nostrem: Swords of the Mediterranean

About this Event

The Historical African Martial Arts Association and Toronto Historical Combatants are back again with another spectacular sword event. Mare Nostrem is an event that explores differnt contemporary sword fighting traditions from around the Menditerranean.

This event will include classes in three fencing traditions:

• Rapier from Italy
• Destreza from Spain
• Nimcha from the Maghreb region of North Africa

Classes are expected to be 1 hour each. Students are invited to bring thier own swords and protective gear, but some loaners are available.
Participants are asked to sign a waiver before they can participate.
