About this Event

Scott Detweiler & Gumbo Nation will not only bring their authentic interpretations of classic and modern Mardi Gras music to Collage, but will also provide enlightening content in between songs, regarding the history of Mardi Gras, its meaning and relevance to the unique culture of New Orleans and its role in birthing and sustaining her signature music and rhythms. Those in attendance will surely be left with a greater understanding of this tradition that has lasted over 300 years, at the same time that they enjoy the emotional power of this celebratory music.
