Biografia:
Nativo das terras multiculturais da Nova Caledônia, MARCUS GAD personifica um movimento de música espiritual envolvido entre raízes meditativas e “soul music”, impulsionado por uma técnica de canto bastante singular que se assemelha à liturgia.
Sua mensagem é alimentada por um poderoso transe musical, sonoridade refinada e natural, convidando à “viagem” e à auto-reflexão. Embaixador cultural de uma ilha isolada no meio do Oceano Pacífico, onde a natureza e os costumes tribais ainda são maravilhosamente preservados, MARCUS GAD relembra-nos da nossa essência primordial nestes tempos de crise. Mais do que música, sua arte é um convite a uma experiência sensorial sedutora.
Desde o sucesso de seu álbum “Chanting” em 2017, Marcus Gad tem sido reconhecido por suas produções e enorme talento.
Lançou “Rhythm of Serenity” em 2020, depois entregou um parêntese mais urbano com seu projeto “Brave New World”, lançado em 2012 em colaboração com o criador de batidas TAMAL, de Paris.
Este ano MARCUS GAD está de volta com um novo single. “Ready for Battle”. Acompanhado pela sua banda TRIBE, regressa a um reggae profundo e orgânico, mas mantendo uma mensagem forte e consciente. Esta primeira faixa é um chamamento para liderar uma luta de resistência pelo planeta e contra as manipulações em massa de corporações multinacionais e governos, e a maneira como eles marcaram os recursos mais básicos, tomando como reféns tudo o que está vive. Uma faixa forte e impactante que anunciou claramente a cor deste próximo álbum.
Rubera Roots baseia-se no conceito de busca ativa da experiência Rastafari, que através da música de raiz - reggae roots - compartilha um manifesto natural da cultura crioula e africana.
A banda traz uma mensagem de militância e procura trazer sempre uma mensagem africanista e de ancestralidade africana. A banda nasceu em 2013 no encontro e partilha de músicos que fizeram e fazem parte de outros projetos musicais, sempre dentro da vertente do reggae de raíz.
Rubera Roots quer partilhar uma vibração positiva e espiritual através da sua música, um manifesto que está a ser muito bem aceite pelo massivo português e africano, com temas como Militanti Roots e Jah Rastafari. O objetivo proposto é tocar a consciência e o espírito do homem universal para um despertar para experiências positivas baseadas em valores comuns de universalidade humana como amor, justiça, igualdade, solidariedade e respeito.
Rubera Roots apresenta ao massivo reggae de raízes espalhadas pelo mundo seu álbum de estreia "Militância Rastafari", um álbum com 10 faixas, trazendo uma mensagem de consciência, vibração e reflexão em uma frequência positiva, que junta com a som propõe um reencontro com as raízes mais africanas.
Após o lançamento do seu primeiro Álbum, Rubera Roots teve a oportunidade de levar a sua música a várias cidades de Portugal e Espanha culminando o ano de 2016 com um convite especial para actuar no Palco Showcase Rototom Sunsplash do Festival Europeu em Benicasim, a primeira banda Cabo Verdiana a trazer o Creole Roots Reggae para este festival.
Em 2017, a banda recebe novamente o convite para actuar no Rototom Festival, desta vez no Lion Stage, e após esta actuação a banda fez uma digressão pelas ilhas de Cabo Verde (no Festival da Gâmboa, festival de Santa Maria, Morna Jazz Festival, entre outros) Holanda , Luxemburgo (Reggae Massive Festival) na Alemanha no Roots up Festival, assim como One Love Festival em Inglaterra, e muitas outras atuações em Espanha e Portugal, com destaque para a atuação no Musa Festival.
Em 2019, Rubera Roots iniciou o processo de gravação do novo ATTITUDE ANCESTRAL, gravado no Teatro do Bairro Studio, que posteriormente foi misturado e masterizado por Roberto Sanchez no Lone Ark Studio.
O álbum traz 10 faixas de “Conscious Roots Music”, e propõe uma meditação sobre os valores e princípios transcendentais da Cultura e Humanidade Ancestral Africana. Apresenta uma sonoridade “Roots African Reggae” que serve de base forte e vibrante para a partilha de uma mensagem consciente e espiritual que enaltece e valoriza a história e o legado dos nossos Ancestrais.
Em 2020 a banda continua a trabalhar em novas faixas, a comemorar 10 anos de Militância, espera o momento de compartilhar essa vibe positiva com todo o massivo e principalmente aqueles que durante esses 10 anos nos retribuíram com muito amor. , confiança e força para continuar a Missão.

Biography:
Native of New Caledonia’s multicultural lands, MARCUS GAD embodies a spiritual music movement nestled between meditative roots and soul music, driven by a quite singular singing technic resembling liturgy.
His message is fed by a powerful musical trance and refined sound which bears no artifice, inviting one to travel and self-reflection. Cultural ambassador of a secluded island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean , where nature and tribal customs are still wonderfully preserved, MARCUS GAD remind us of our primal essence in these times of crises. More than just music, his art is an invitation to undergo an alluring sensorial experience.
Since the success of his debut album “Chanting” in 2017, he has been recognised for his sharp and daring productions. He released the sumptuous “Rhythm of Serenity” in 2020, then delivered a more urban parenthesis with his “Brave New World” project released in 2012 in collaboration with Paris based beat maker TAMAL.
This year MARCUS GAD is back with a new single. “Ready for Battle” announces his new eponymous album. Accompanied by his band TRIBE, he returns to a deep and organic reggae style, while keeping a strong and conscious message. This first track is a callout to lead a fight of resistance for the planet and against mass manipulations of multinational corporations and governments, and the way in which they have branded the most basic ressources, taking all that is living in hostage. A strong and impacting track that clearly announced the colour of this upcoming album.
Rubera Roots is based on the concept of active search of Rastafari experience, which through the roots music - reggae roots - sharing a natural manifest Creole and African culture. The band brings a message of militancy and demand always bring a Africanist and African ancestry message. The band was born in 2013 in the meeting and sharing of musicians who have made and are part of other musical projects, always within the roots reggae shed. Rubera Roots Band want to share a positive and spiritual vibration through his music, a manifest that is being very well accepted by the massive Portuguese and African, with tunes such as Militanti Roots and Jah Rastafari.��The proposed goal is to touch the conscience and the spirit of universal man for an awakening for positive experiences based on common values of human universality as love, justice, equality, solidarity, respect. Rubera Roots Band presents to the massive roots reggae all spread around the world their debut album "Militancy Rastafari", an album with 10 tracks, bringing a message of militancy, of consciousness, and vibration and reflection in a positive frequency, which together with the sound proposes a reunion with the most African roots. ���After the release of their first Album , Rubera Roots had the opportunity to bring their music to several cities in Portugal and Spain culminating the year 2016 with a special invitation to perform at the Showcase Stage Rototom Sunsplash the European Festival in Benicasim, the first Cape Verdean band to bring the Creole Roots Reggae into this festival.
In 2017, the band consequently received an invitation to perform at the Rototom Festival, at the Lion Stage, and after this performance the band toured through Cape Verde Islands (at Festival da Gâmboa, Santa Maria festival, Morna Jazz Festival , and others) Netherlands, Luxembourg (Reggae Massive Festival) in Germany at the Roots up Festival, as well as One Love Festival in England, and many other performances in Spain and Portugal, highlighting the performance at Musa Festival.
In 2019, Rubera Roots began the recording process for the new ATTITUDE ANCESTRAL , recorded at the Teatro do Bairro Studio , which was later mixed and mastered by Roberto Sanchez at his Lone Ark Studio.
