Marco Antônio Santos is a guitarist, arranger, and composer from Minas Gerais, Brazil. He has performed with many artists in a variety of styles in Brazil and the USA. He is working toward a doctorate in Jazz Composition at the University of Texas, where he also earned his Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance.
Santos has performed and/or written for Brazilian artists Nene, Di Melo, Hilda Maria, and the Katchie Cartwright Trio. In Austin, he’s worked with the UT Jazz Orchestra, Live Jukebox Trio, Christian Wiggs, and the Matt Maldonado Experience.
Arranging credits include Feita de Rendas by Hilda Maria, Realinhando by Selia Nask, and an album by Tina Latora.
